Yasin Carkci
As team leader in system development, Yasin is in charge of two teams: Team Freiburg is responsible for the waveware® windows and web client, Team Lisbon for the development of the waveware® CLOUD. Yasin is particularly driven by challenges where complex problems need to be solved and efficient solutions developed. The use of the latest technologies is his top priority. In his day-to-day work, he appreciates the pleasant working atmosphere and the good relationship between colleagues. When he is not spending his free time with family and friends, Yasin can usually be found doing sports or enjoying nature.
I am the team leader of two different teams in our system development department: One team is based in Freiburg and is responsible for waveware® FAT and waveware® WEB. The other team is based in Lisbon and develops the waveware® CLOUD. I am also involved in various areas. One example is DevOps, where we are working on making our software available faster and in better quality with the help of automated processes.
I mostly work with Rider, Visual Studio as an integrated development environment, Git as a versioning tool, GitLab as a DevOps platform and our internal software waveware® QPRO. Various skills are required so that I can successfully complete my tasks. For my work with waveware® FAT (windows client) and waveware® MOBILE, I need to be well versed in .net. For the waveware® CLOUD with GCP and Terraform and for DevOps, knowledge of GitLab and scripting is a prerequisite.
I am driven by challenges that involve solving complex problems and developing efficient solutions. I find it particularly exciting to optimize systems, seamlessly integrate different technologies and automate processes so that they function smoothly and scalably. Especially when it comes to scalability, security or efficiency, it motivates me to find innovative and sustainable approaches.
My strength as a graduate computer scientist lies in the combination of technical know-how, strategic thinking and a clear focus on efficiency. I particularly bring this to bear in the optimization of systems, the integration of new technologies and the automation of processes. I also help my teams to develop further and work efficiently in the long term. My aim is to create solutions that are not only well thought out, but also offer real added value in practice.
What I like best is the pleasant working atmosphere and the good relationship between colleagues. I also think the wide range of different new technologies is great.
In my free time, I like to spend time with family and friends. I also enjoy sports and am always up for a game of soccer, a jog or a bike ride. Last but not least, I enjoy spending time in nature.
